Creamy Black Pepper Chicken Steak
A juicy, restaurant-style chicken steak served with sautéed vegetables, fries and a rich, creamy black pepper sauce.

Ingredients
For the Chicken Marinade
* 4 chicken breast fillets
* 1 tsp garlic paste
* ½ tsp black pepper
* ½ tsp chili flakes
* 1 tsp chicken broast masala
* 1 tsp oregano
* Salt to taste
* 1 tsp mustard paste
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
For the Sautéed Vegetables
* ½ bottle gourd, peeled & cubed
* ½ carrot, peeled & cubed
* 1 tsp olive oil
* Pinch of salt
* Pinch of black pepper
* Pinch of oregano
For the Creamy Black Pepper Sauce
* 2 tbsp butter
* ½ onion, finely chopped
* 1 tsp chopped garlic
* 1 tsp black pepper
* 1 cup chicken stock
* 3–4 tbsp cooking cream
* 1 tsp mustard paste
Method
1. Marinate the Chicken
* In a bowl, combine the chicken with garlic paste, black pepper, chili flakes, chicken broast masala, oregano, salt, mustard paste, and olive oil.
* Mix well so the chicken is evenly coated.
* Let it marinate for 15–20 minutes.
2. Cook the Chicken
* Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan over low to medium heat.
* Add the marinated chicken and cook for 6–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
* Remove from the pan and let it rest while preparing the sauce.
3. Prepare the Sautéed Vegetables
* Boil the bottle gourd and carrot for 6–7 minutes, then drain well.
* Heat 1 tsp olive oil in a pan.
* Add the vegetables along with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and oregano.
* Sauté for 3 minutes until lightly golden and flavorful.
4. Make the Creamy Black Pepper Sauce
* Melt 2 tbsp butter in the same pan.
* Add the chopped onion and cook until soft.
* Stir in the chopped garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
* Add the black pepper and mix well.
* Pour in the chicken stock and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
* Stir in the cooking cream and mustard paste.
* Cook for another 2–3 minutes, until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thick.
